Success: Signs that you’ve made it
What have you been working for? What is that thing that you really want to achieve? Is it owning your own business? Is it business growth? Or is it long-term business stability? Whatever your goal is, being able to reach them means success. And achieving success is not limited to business. You can be successful in terms of health, relationships, and work-life balance. Different goals yet the level of effort and dedication to achieving them are the same. However, there is such a thing as doing too much. We work so hard to be successful that we sometimes become too critical of ourselves. We blame ourselves for every small mistake. We try to do everything on our own. We become so relentless in our goal to be successful that we forget to appreciate what we have already achieved.
Being too critical of yourself makes you feel you are a failure. Nothing will be good enough for you. Yes, being critical of yourself is essential if you want to achieve success – but being too critical is a whole different story. We want to succeed because it feels good to reach a goal. Give yourself a break. Appreciate your own successes. With that said, what are the signs that you’ve finally made it? What are the signs that you’ve finally achieved success?
Not Seeking Praise
When you are able to perform at your highest level without looking to be praised means that you are more successful than you thought. It means that you are mentally secured and confident enough to know that you can do your best without waiting for that proverbial pat on the back. Don’t get me wrong though. Being appreciated is always nice and is a great way to boost one’s morale but actively seeking praise for everything that you do is another thing. The need for constant validation is a sign of unsureness and low confidence.
Constantly Looking For Better Ways To Do Things
If you are constantly looking for ways to improve things or how things are done, then you are already successful. You are way past the stage of figuring things out and have already built your foundation and achieved stability. In terms of business, this means that your company is already stable and making profits. Where do you go from there? The only direction is forward and to move forward, the next step is to improve.
